ALPHA GAMMA DELTA LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to legacies of Alpha Gamma Delta that have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.

THE JOHNNY BOB SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is named in the nickname of ECU's 8th President, John R. Hargrave. Established to honor his spirit, passion, and loyalty for East Central University. Each year this scholarship will be awarded to the senior male and senior female who best exemplify school spirit by demonstrating these qualities toward ECU. This award will be selected by the President of ECU upon the recommendation of the Student Senate

WANDA & LEON BIDDY MEMORIALSCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will be awarded to an active Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity member classified as a sophom*ore, junior, or senior.The recipient must maintaina minimum 3.0GPA and preference will be given to students with a degree plan of Communication Studies Concentration, through the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences.

ROBERT D. COLEMAN, JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will be awarded to an active Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity member based on leadership abilities and service to the organization and community.The recipient should have a minimum 2.25 GPA, but leadership is stressed.

ECU WOMEN'S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the ECU Women's Club, with special consideration for financial need.

DR. USHA FOUNTAIN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded through the ECU International Student Office. The recipient will preferably be from an Asian or a South Pacific country. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and service, both within the community as well as the University. Dr. Fountain, a second-generation descendant of indentured sugarcane farm laborers from India was born in the Fiji Islands. She received her Masters and PhD in School Counseling degree from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia where she met her husband, an Ada native and immigrated to the United States in 1994. She worked tirelessly over 30 years in education/ as a teacher, school counselor, professor and Director of the Masters in School Counseling program at ECU. To honor Dr. Fountain's 20 plus years of service to international students, the family, friends, and alum of the ECU Asian Student Association have established this scholarship in her name.

DR. JAMES HARRIS CLASS/PIKE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will be awarded to a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity who is majoring in a CLASS (College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences) area.Dr. Harris taught History at ECU for years, and this scholarship has been established by his fraternity brothers in his honor.

BRET D. ISENHOWER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship has been established by the ECU GOLD Program and the ECU Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha.It will be awarded to a veteran (honorably discharged), an actively serving reservist, a child of a veteran or fallen service member, or a member of the ECU Greek Community who best exemplifies the character and willingness to "serve a purpose greater than his or her self" that was exhibited by Bret Isenhower during his time of military service.

NISHA KARKI INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Nisha Karki was born and raised in Nepal and came from a very poor family. She was an only child and lost her father at a very young age. Nisha was raised in a one room house and her widowed mother worked tirelessly to give her a better life. Her mother managed to raise money from relatives and friends to send Nisha to the U.S. to get a nursing degree. Nisha was a compassionate, intelligent, hardworking, fun loving, and cheerful person. She passed away on November 16, 2016 at the young age of 20. To commemorate her life and legacy, the ECU Asian Student Association, alums and friends have established this endowed scholarship fund.

CHURCHILL THOMAS AND MELBA THOMAS KING HONORS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will be used for awards to students who have been selected for the ECU Honors Program.

GEORGE NIGH AWARD (Graduating Senior)
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior with the highest GPA and will also be based on contribution to ECU and to the community.Governor George Nigh is an ECU alumnusand this scholarship was established in his honor by Julian Rothbaum.

DR. STAN NNOCHIRIONYE INTERNATION STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Dr. Stan Nnochirionye was born in Nigeria and died on January 30, 2019 in Ada, Oklahoma. He came to the United States to seek graduate studies and retired as a professor from East Central University. Dr. Stan came from humble beginnings and made the best of the many opportunities provided in his new country of residence. He was well known as a soccer coach of the first women's intercollegiate soccer team at ECU and the founder of the ECU Soccer club and the Ada Boys & Girls soccer club. He was one of the founders of the International Connection Club and an advisor for the African Caribbean Student club. Dr. Stan was fondly known by many as "Stan the Man" or "Mr. Soccer". He was a compassionate, intelligent, hardworking, fun-loving, and cheerful person. To commemorate Dr. Stan's life and legacy, the family, friends, alums, and students have established this scholarship for international students.

ALLYSON AND TALOR STEWART HONORS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will be awarded to full0time, undergraduates who are active members of the ECU Honors Program. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need who joined the Honors Program after the first semester of their freshman year; who have made good progress towards graduation from the Honors Program; who have been active in the Honors Student Association (serving on the leadership team, attending events, etc.). This scholarship was created by Allyson and Talor Stewart successful products of the ECU Honors Program.

JUDITH WHOMBLE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Mrs. Whomble was very involved with the international student community at ECU and this scholarship was established by friends, family, and colleagues in her honor and memory.
